Resumen

La solidificación de las ceras está asociada con los cambios de temperatura que ocurren entre el reservorio y la tubería o en actividades logísticas relacionadas con la distribución del petróleo. Se han realizado varios estudios sobre el rendimiento de los aditivos utilizando sistemas modelo. En este sentido, existe una brecha en la literatura tanto en relación con la eficiencia de los aditivos en diferentes tipos de petróleo como en relación con la representatividad de los sistemas modelo. En este trabajo, describimos la obtención y caracterización de seis muestras de poli(acetato de etileno-vinilo) con grados de hidrólisis que varían del 0.36 al 5.96 %, las cuales fueron sometidas a pruebas de punto de vertido y microcalorimetría utilizando dos muestras de petróleo crudo. Además, se utilizaron sistemas modelo compuestos por ceras en tolueno, que se extrajeron del respectivo petróleo mediante dos métodos diferentes. Encontramos un grado óptimo de hidrólisis que conducía al mejor rendimiento del aditivo, el cual variaba según el tipo de petróleo en estudio. Los sistemas modelo no eran exactamente representativos de sus respectivos petróleos; pero aquellos preparados con ceras extraídas mediante el método de centrifugado representaban mejor que los preparados con cera extraída por el método de Soxhlet
