El Presupuesto Público del Estado para Gasto Militar y para la Educación durante la República de Nueva Granada, 1831-1857

Abstract

The magnitude of Public Military Expenditure assumed by the Republic of New Granada account for the responsibility of giving shape to the State on the part of the military institution. The global of this essay is to analyze at macroeconomic level the trend of this military expenditure regarding the State total public expenditure and regarding the public education expenditure; it also intends to analyze at microeconomic level the amounts and internal distribution. Analysis of these budgetary figures attached there to helps to focus on some historical features supplementing the understanding of the temporary militia and the permanent force in the definition of the historical form by the monopoly of the strength of New Granada was able to consolidate for the State.
