Abstract

The project consisted of photocatalytic treatment of wastewaters resulting from the process of dyeing flowers, in order to degrade the mixture of dyes and organic matter present in the effluent waste. The results of the experimental design were processed statistically using a surface model response and Statgraphics 5.0 statistical software, using as input variables pH, concentration of catalyst (TiO2) and concentration of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). Broadly satisfactory results were obtained, a reduction of 99% dye, 95% of mineralization and a final biodegradability of 0.48.
