GEOQUÍMICA DEL DOMO VOLCÁNICO EN EL MUNICIPIO DE IZA, DEPARTAMENTO DE BOYACA; INTERPRETACIÓN GEODINÁMICA Y COMPARACIÓN CON EL VULCANISMO NEÓGENO DE LA CORDILLERA ORIENTAL

RESUMEN

Este trabajo tiene como propósito brindar nuevos datos analíticos, complementado los disponibles hasta el presente respecto a las rocas volcánicas de la región de Iza, (Boyacá); del mismo modo, el desarrollo de una nueva aproximación, en cuanto a determinar si existe una conexión directa con otros depósitos volcánicos geográfcamente cercanos al área de estudio, usando métodos estadísticos descriptivos.

Se realizó una caracterización geoquímica para 12 muestras recolectadas en el área, donde se analizaron elementos mayores, menores y traza, y utilizando diagramas de caracterización para rocas efusivas, se corrobora que estás poseen una afnidad alcalina de composión riolítica. Además de el uso de diagramas normalizados cuyas abundancias de elementos de campo electrostático fuerte (HFSE) como el Nb y Zr, y elementos de radio iónico grande (LILE) en este caso el Rb, permitieron caracterizar estas rocas propias de ambientes colisionales. Por otra parte, con los resultados obtenidos de los análisis estadísticos, se estableció la relación existente entre dos lugares geográfcamente cercanos, como lo son cuerpos volcánicos de Los Naranjos y los de Paipa. En cuanto a las muestras de Iza, se encontró que no existe relación alguna con otro cuerpo volcánico entre los sectores estudiados, probablemente debido la alteración hidrotermal que presenta el domo de Iza.

ABSTRACT

This work has as purpose to offer new analytic data, supplemented the available ones until the present regarding the volcanic rocks of the region of Iza, (Boyacá); in the same way, the development of a new approach, as for determining if exists a direct connection with other volcanic deposits geographically near to the study area, using descriptive statistical methods. It was realized a characterization geochemistry for 12 samples gathered in the area, where were analyzed big elements, smaller and traces and using diagrams of characterization for effusive rocks, it is corroborated that these possess an alkaline likeness of composión riolític. Besides the use of normalized diagrams whose abundances of elements of strong electrostatic feld (HFSE) as the Nb and Zr, and elements of big ionic radio (LILE) in this case the Rb, they allowed to this rocks characteristic of ambient coalitional. On the other hand, with the obtained results of the statistical analyses, the existent relationship settled down between two geographically places near, as are it volcanic bodies of Los Naranjos and those of Paipa. As for of Iza, it was found that relationship doesn't exist some with another volcanic body among the studied sectors, probably due the alteration hydrothermal that presents the dome of Iza.
