Abstract

Fragments of petrified woods are studied they were identified as Guttiferoxylon compactum Schönfeld, Goup oxylon stützeri Schönfeld, and Temlinalioxylon portae n. sp. The G. compactum described by Schönfeld is represented by two cotypes. One was found in Amagá (E. of Medellín, Cordillera Central) and should be Upper Oligocen-Lower Miocen. The other colleted in the Sínceleio-Ovejas (State of Bolívar was dated as Plioceno The G. stützeri was found at the Arroyo de La Muerte (State of Bolívar). According to the fauna of molluscs should be Miocene, same age assigned by Schönfeld to the Magdalena Valley samples. T. portre n. sp. was colleted in the gravels of the Palmas Member of the Mesa Formation east of Honda (State of Tolima); it belongs to the Upper Tertiary (Miocene of  Pliocene).
