Abstract

This paper aims to offer an interpretation of Descartes’ Discourse on the method provided his first insights expressed in the Principles of Philosophy. His estimation not only claims that both methods are bound together, but that Principia Philosophiae represents the second and third parts of the Discourse. To elaborate on the above point, this piece is divided into three parts. The first one is dedicated to observing his elaboration of the man of integrity. The second one assesses both scientific and ethical sets of precepts. The last one shows the results e.g., certainties obtained from applying each method.
