Abstract
The aim of this paper is to analyze the concept of Kultur in the philosophy of the young Nietzsche. The analysis develops three elements which are very relevant in his notion of Kultur: 1) its determining ideological factors (the "ideology of Kultur"); 2) its metaphysical assumptions (the "metaphysic of the artist"), and 3) its political consequences (a "tragic politics").
