Abstract

This article inquires into the connections between philosophy and literature in relation to the notion of experience, theorized by three authors: George Bataille, Michel Foucault and Walter Benjamin. Across the essay we can appreciate in which way the experience is such an essential problem for the definition of subject that modernity has constructed. Nevertheless, this notion of experience has been theorized in circles which apparently have nothing to do with philosophical thought, like the notion of poetic evocation in Bataille, the literary and infinite language proposal of Foucault and the end of narrator as the impossibility of experience itself proposed by Benjamin.
