Design and implementation, the boundaries of art

Abstract

Given that it is difficult to find a common denominator to what we call art, the article seeks a center of gravity in the proposal of Aristotle. The notion of “techne” of Aristotle is meeting the design and implementation as necessary conditions of those who later came to be called “art”. However, this unit has been especially challenged by the mainstream of contemporary art. Conceptual art practice absorbed by the theory, which proposes the opposite action painting. For its part, the minimal-art goes a step further, breaking the concept of organic plot refers to Aristotle and assumed Alberti.
