Abstract

the author asks for the difference between the two notions of common sense. The first notion refers to a common rationality, to a sort of organizational faculty of the data of the perception, and the second one refers to common opinion. Based on the distinctions produced in the debate, the author makes an interpretation about the relation between opinion and appearance in Aristotle's rhetoric.
