Abstract

This article challenges common admission that political philosophy deals with what politics ought to be and that political science deals with what politics is. This distinction opens a gap between descriptive and prescriptive studies. lt will hold that Kant' s political philosophy offers the theoretical elements to difference between descriptive and prescriptive studies without creating a gap, rather a link, between political science and political philosophy.
