Abstract

This paper establishes a methodology for estimating the cost when a break down occurs in theindustrial sector. The model was developed taking into account the international background ofthe topic and the currently legal system concerning the quality ofelectrical service in Colombia. The methodology is composed ofseventeen costs items from which each item may be included ornot depending on the kind ofbusiness. Furthermore, the model was validated using industrialcustomers in the city of Bucaramanga.
