Design and construction of a system of acquisition of microsystems data

Abstract

This paper describes the design and construction process ola microtremor data acquisition system,using 3 velocity transducers or geophones built in a triaxial arrangement.First, a brielintroduction to seismic andmicrotremors is made, explaining the practical applicationsofthe microtremor registers in order to understand thefinal purpose ofthis investigation. Then, thedesign and construction process 01 the data acquisition system modules is explained (analog,digital, power supply and visualization module). The choosing criten'a for the devices employed,individual budget error analyses ofthe chips and noise analysis ofthe system are made to determinethe system overall precision andpeifonnance.
