Abstract
The following article is the result of a personal experience I had while working as a teacher of Mexican literature in the Purépecha indigenous community of Santafé de la Laguna (Michocán, México) in 2017. The educational practice in question was marked in a first moment due to my misunderstanding as a teacher of my new school and for the ignorance of the ancient purépecha culture, for this the failure of the initial sessions with the students and it was only from the rethinking of the pedagogical knowledge that I had that we managed together with the students to create the conducive environment, not to "teach the curriculum" of high school but to create a learning process where the subject is the student. "Señor Rulfo, yo tengo una historia que contar" is then about a process of appropriation and literary creation in an indigenous environment where the main protagonist of the narrative is the people of Santafé.
