Abstract
This article is the result of research conducted in the Specialization of Human Rights at the University of the Basque Country in conjunction with the foundation Asmoz of Spain. The Women as protagonists in the history of the Caribbean. The situations in the Caribbean islands for women were especially difficult because until a little more than half of the twentieth century were still colonies of European powers like England, France and Holland.
