Abstract
The article shows a policy aimed at social control in Antioquia through the creation of police by their Departmental Assembly in the period 1912-1927 Refers to aspects of social constitutionalism (little studied by historians) as a result of three processes linked, population growth, urban expansion of the city and industrial advancement. Substantive information was collected from the Department of Antioquia Assembly Fund, existing Antioch Historical Archive. This policy is part of the changes advisement with industrialization. The police were structured to respond to the emerging needs of industrial society, and then respond to social constitutionalism.
