Abstract

The following article seeks to rebuild the city of Quito since the last film production in the country. This reconstruction is done from a sociological reading of the images and social talks that are interwoven in the tapes of Ecuadorian fiction that refer to the city of Quito. There is a special interest in looking at the city as the scene of various types of social conflict, and how they give meaning to shape the city and its urbanity.
