Some social virtues in the Summa Theologica by Thomas Aquinas and its application in contemporary social responsibility

Abstract

This article discusses some of the social virtues in the Summa Theologica of Thomas Aquinas and its possible application in contemporary times, in what is now called Social Responsibility (S.R) will be presented. From values such as Justice (central concept), truthfulness, friendship, generosity, honesty, will attempt to link these concepts to current issue of S.R. While it is impossible to account for all the theoretical framework of this topic in ancient times, as we understand it today in our contemporary discourse, it is not unreasonable to say that the concepts of S.R. have been built since ancient times and the Middle Age is an important link in this process.
