About the Journal
Focus and Scope
The Revista Integración, Temas de Matemáticasis available to professors and researchers interested in publishing original and high-quality articles, in Spanish or English (preferably in English), both theoretical and applied, in all areas of mathematics.
Submission and publication of a manuscript imply that the paper has not been published previously and is not under consideration for publication anywhere else; also, Revista Integración, Temas de Matemáticas assumes that the submission has been approved by all co-authors, if any, as well as by the responsible authorities of the universities or institutions where the work was carried out. The authors must be aware of the ethical behavior in scientific publications. Revista Integración, Temas de Matemáticas will not be legally responsible for the possible bad practices in a scientific publication (see the Ethic politics).
Types of articles
Research articles in all areas of mathematics are considered for publication. In exceptional cases, review articles are considered.
- Research articles: original papers dealing with the results of theoretical or applied research in all areas of mathematics.
- Review articles: a document that summarizes the current state of understanding on a topic in all areas of mathematics through a careful, rigorous, and systematic review of the literature concerning that topic.
Section Policies
Peer Review Process
The articles proposed for publication will be studied by the Editor with the help of the Editorial Committee, to verify compliance with the minimum requirements of form and quality of content. If the article does not pass this stage, the corresponding author will be notified. Articles accepted in the first instance will be sent for evaluation to specialists in the respective topics; the referees are chosen by the Editorial and Scientific Committee, also considering that they must register research activity in recent years. The corresponding decisions will be communicated to the authors, together with the pertinent observations. The evaluation process is confidential, and the results of the evaluation process will not be appealable in any case. The articles that are accepted will be published in the next numbers, following the order of the articles previously accepted.
Open Access Policy
The published articles can be freely accessed, that is, they can be read, downloaded, copied, distributed, printed, or cited. The opinions expressed in the articles published are those of the authors and do not necessarily coincide with those of the Editorial Board or with the administration of the Department of Mathematics at UIS.
