INDISIO: Instruments of inquiry on information systems in organizations

Abstract

This article presents the genesis of the research process undertaken by the Research Group on Information Systems and Technology (STl) of the Industrial University of Santander (UIS) on the theory and practice of Systems Thinking (PS) , Information Systems (IS) and Information Technology (IT), for organizational development. The article begins by proposing the context on which the research was framed. It illustrates, therefore, the situation in which the authors came together for the generation of the development to expose just as it outlines the intellectual path adopted for its realization. On this basis, the document continues with the detail of the results obtained in each phase of the investigative path. It addresses, therefore, the guidelines identified for the administration of information, a proposed conceptual and methodological framework for such activity, and an inquiry tool called INDEX as a contribution to its exercise.
