Abstract

This paper presents the implementation of rules and strategies in an online course to enhance the interaction between its members and promote effectively the cooperation, which is key to solving social dilemmas that arise in a virtual course. For this purpose we design an evaluation tool that measures cooperation in a free online course. We also design and apply to the course strategies and rules that allows cooperation between its members and we evaluate again the course to measure the degree of the cooperation achieved. Finally we conclude that to achieve more effective cooperation is required to make a complete evaluation of the rules and strategies of the courses, in order to promote the culture of cooperation over the competition culture.
