Identity, memory and school heritage Museum of the Almafuerte Rural Normal School

Abstract

The Museum of the Escuela Normal Rural Almafuerte school, performs its tasks within the said school, located in a natural area in the town of La Picada, 25 kilometers from the capital of the province of Entre Ríos, Argentina (Argentina). Founded in 1962 as an institution made up of rural teachers, it has written important chapters in the history of education in Entre Ríos and Argentina. The museum is part of the Network of Pedagogical Museums, which is an extension program of the Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences College of the Universidad Autónoma de Entre Ríos. The museum's main mission is to protect the school's heritage, as well as to carry out a teaching task with the school community in order to safeguard its memory, and to continue building its identity.
