Abstract
In this paper, an ideas framework centered in predominant conceptions about information systems and learning organizations is established, shaping one of the results of investigation process carried out by its authors, that is framed inside Masters in Informatics program at Industrial University of Santander. To form this ideas framework we begins showing the concern area that has motivated the research effort, which is synthesized by the idea of a need of conceptual and methodology alternatives in the information Systems intellectual field, that contribute to define information systems development processes that habilitate learning organizations. Then, we describe, in a general form, the information systems conventional approach, as well as, the subject of learning organizations. Next, we present a synthesis, created trough a review of information systems literature, where key conceptual and methodological foundations, like learning organization and information systems concepts and methodological statements about information systems development particularized to organizational learning, are integrated.
