The blockchain for transmitting, tracing and certifying value in academia

Abstract

Blockchain technology allows the exchange of digital assets between peers and is considered a new layer of the Internet, one dedicated to the transfer of value. This new decentralized technology, without a central control entity, is called to transform the way of doing transactions, since it eliminates trusted intermediaries as we know them. This technology has proven to be safe, through the adoption of crypto actives (one of the applications of this technology) and opens the possibility of developing multiple applications. The blockchain is an ideal tool for the development of the digital industry in its new stage, processing assets directly between users. From UxTIC, it has been identified that the education field is not exempt from being impacted by this technology.
