Improving the learning and teaching experience in the classroom using ICTs

Abstract

Innovating to improve the learning and teaching experience is a challenge faced by university professors of all times. Although the academy is a deep and extensive ocean that holds many pedagogical theories, methodologies and tools, being an eternal universe of possibilities. It is no secret to anyone that there is an important opportunity in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). It is known that there are many technologies for recreational purposes that are useful if it is possible to identify how they can be used in the classroom. However, it is important to remember that technology by itself is empty, and a pedagogical approach is needed to give it meaning, a soul that gives the digital machine a reason for being and a use, as Descartes would say, if it had been part of the digital transformation that the world is experiencing today.
