Abstract

The development of the class corresponding to the disciplinary area and sub-area of ​​Vocational Training, developed in English, caught the attention of the students; they reported that it was the first time they related said language to a topic in their Social Work career. The implementation of a purely participatory strategy, where his colleagues discussed about a Social Work topic with Groups and Networks, and invited the audience to read, understand and express themselves in the target language, notably surprised the attendees; some of them filled with uncertainty, others with fear, and others from complacency. Regarding the work material in class, it was found to be simple, dynamic and coherent with the pre-knowledge worked on previously; As for the Word wall tool, it was classified as exciting, fun and interesting. Regarding inclusion, some felt afraid to express themselves, since they recognized that they required a higher level of English proficiency Others felt the challenge of expressing themselves in another language, and very few felt safe since they had already mastered the language. Participation was total, although some intervened in Spanish because they felt weaknesses in their pronunciation. Reinforcement and evaluation were achieved with interactive activities, carried out by 70% of the participants, stating that they learned a lot of vocabulary. Finally, 100% of those who valued the process stated that they liked receiving the class in English.
