RESUMEN
El Proceso de Rediseño Curricular en el Programa de Enfermería de la Universidad Industrial de Santander ha involucrado a profesores, pares académicos, estudiantes, egresados, empleadores y surge como respuesta a dos eventos importantes: exigencia de los lineamientos generales de la Universidad en coherencia con el Proyecto Institucional y por otro lado como respuesta a las recomendaciones del proceso de Acreditación del Consejo Nacional de Acreditación. El proceso se ha fundamentado conceptualmente en la propuesta de un currículo integrado e innovador que busca mediante el desarrollo de competencias romper el esquema rígido y asignaturista del currículo actual. Su operatividad se fundamenta en la construcción de Ejes Transcurriculares, Núcleos Temáticos y Proyectos Integradores. Dos retos se plantean relacionados con la importancia de involucrar el componente socio afectivo explícitamente en el proceso de formación junto con el componente cognitivo y el otro relacionado con mantener un proceso participativo y de consenso pues la reforma involucra cambios en el plan de estudios, en lo pedagógico y en lo evaluado. En este artículo se presenta la experiencia del proceso que desde 1999 se viene adelantando en el Programa de Enfermería, pretende mostrar la fundamentación histórico conceptual de la propuesta y el proceso metodológico aplicado y sustentado en la planeación estratégica del currículo. ABSTRACT
The Process of Curriculum Redesign in the Program of Nursing of the Industrial University of Santander has involved teachers, academic pairs, students, graduates, employers, and turns out to be the answer to two events: what is expected of the general order of the University in coherence with the institution project and on the other hand it's an answer to the recommendations of the process "Acreditación del Consejo Nacional de Acreditación". The process concept has been founded in the proposal of an integrated curriculum of integration or Innovation that looks for through the development of competitions break the rigid schqueme and assignments of the actual curriculum. It's operation is based on the construction of Transcurricular Axis, Nucleus Themes, and Integrated Projects. Two challenge were planted, one related with the importance of involving the component of socio affectiveness in the formation process with the cognitive component and the other related with maintaining a participation process and of agreement because the reform involves changes in the study plan, in the treatment and evolution of the class, and in the testing. In this article it is presented the process that since 1999 the Nursing School, that is in process, wants to show the historic foundation of the propose and the methodology applied and sustained in the Curriculum of Strategical Planning.
